Hi there,

Our family use around 150gb monthly, I was offered the unlimited upgrade for 75 monthly. With fair use policy I know that p2p will be throttled, which I don't use often. Does the 150gb plan also have throttle issues?

Apart from cost issues any reason not to upgrade or limitations?

Hi,

I think you have not been part of other Unlimited discussions that mentioned this 200 times but it has not changed since the release of it. So no difference at all.

Cheers

As above go for it.  VF have repeatedly stated that there has been absolutely no change in the way traffic was/is managed between the previous 150Gb plans ands the new unlimited plans.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

what the??
Unlimited Naked broadband $75 per month with discount? Why only $10 off? Maybe they took the margin out of it.
Thats why, Naked broadband pricing has dropped by $20 to offset the POTS cost.

PaulFindlay: POTS cost?

I presume the added cost of running an analogue phone line (POTS).

I still don't understand that. E.g. earlier RRP for 80GB plan was $85 now it is $65. But the discounted price for a linked VF mobile phone is still $55 (i.e. discount has dropped from $30 -> $10). But at either price point, no POTS. Where did the $20 margin go? Is this the commerce commision ruling being applied?

Currently on 150GB / monthly at $59... unlimited probably overkill for me at this stage. I do have vodafone mobile on account plan.

I dont think the CommComm has any ruling in this.

Yes, I doubted it. Could you just expand on what you meant by POTS cost?

The money we pay Telecom to have a voice line connected via Copper. Naked broadband has no copper voice telephone so no pay Telecom .

Yes, but naked dsl has always been like that hasn't it. Up until recently $30 was the mobile discount and the RRP was higher.

The RRP without discount was the same as clothed. But you get a $30 discount. Making the discounts align and pricing more aligned makes sense as they did do.
