In light of the current Netflix issues, I see via the Vodafone forums that a static IP costs $5 extra per month for those connected to UFB.

Will having a static IP avoid the transparent proxy therefore resuming normal Netflix transmission?

With Vodafone high-speed cable, you get a fixed IP address as standard.
VF describe both HSC cable and fibre as "UFB".
