It seems someone pushed a PUBLISH button a bit too early... The Vodafone NZ Android app was updated today and look what's new (screenshot from the page, in case it goes away):

So, Vodafone Masters, what is Red Share? When is it coming live?

Ooh. Exciting. Just like my wireless hotspot but bigger!

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Maybe something like this but for personal use?

Vodafone Red Sharer

Vodafone Red Sharer enables you to make the most of your employees’ UK data allowances by
pooling them. Whether they’re on 3G, 4G or mobile broadband plans, each employee’s UK data
allowance is flexibly shared amongst your whole team, with a single monthly bill. You’ll also all
get unlimited UK calls and standard UK texts.

• Pooled UK data to share across your organisation
• Combine users of 3G, 4G, tablets and mobile broadband
• Easier to avoid charges outside of your plan
• Worry-free UK data and control of users’ usage
• Unlimited calls to UK mobiles and landlines (starting 01, 02, 03)
within the UK and standard UK texts for all your employees
Pool your data with Vodafone Red Sharer

In most organisations there will be some employees who regularly go over their data allowance,
whilst others hardly use theirs. Vodafone Red Sharer enables you to take the UK data allowances
of all your employees’ plans and put them together in a single ‘pool’ that you can all use. So you
can ensure your business is making the most of its data allowances, and reap the benefits of
being able to work and collaborate efficiently on the move, in a cost-effective way.
It doesn’t matter if your employees are on 3G, 4G or mobile broadband plans – Vodafone Red
Sharer lets you pool your UK data regardless of what kind of devices you’re using or how many
of you there are.

Fantastic!  It's a PITA to have to top up a SIM for the iPad and another one for the Pocket WiFi device.  Roll on official release date!

Vodafone can I please have handset-on-bill-over-3/6/12-months next?  Makes it much easier to sneak a new handset past the Mrs.  :)

I wonder if this'll give 2D a kick to make sharing 'fee free' too :)

Any guesses as to whether they will come out with some sort of business sharing plans too?  Vodafone have some in the UK already.

It's a shame they've focused solely on high APRU Red Plans - Red plans start at $99 per month, and now allowed this on any other current on account plans.

I use my phone a reasonable amount as a WiFi hotspot and it would be nice to simply have another SIM card tied to my existing account so I didn't need to use the hotspot.
