Been getting high latency to Australian servers this afternoon, here are some traceroutes. First is to on.net (internode) second is to vodafone.com.au. On VF cable in Wellington.

I'm on VF cable in Wellington
local (Wellington VF) ping 9ms (as normal)
BUT
Sydney VF ping 102-106ms    (normally 44ms)
downstream 9Mbps (normally 50Mbps - on a 2/50 connection)

Hmm, seems like my downstream is affected as well, 130/10 plan.

Mines not the best either, still taking 45 seconds to load a whirlpool forum page, been like this about 10 days now, on Vodafone cable CHC.

Cool, I have learnt something today, cheers

My download speed is usually 13-15mb and ping is not great either, must be busy tonight.

I've raised this with the right folks who're having a look into it. As always, worth getting tickets logged, as the more information we have (Traceroutes, pathpings, nslookups, et cetera) the better. :)

Still dropping ~40% of the packets but at least it is responding much quicker tonight, with a few thousand+ ms hops every now and then.
