Some time in march i contacted telstra trying to get cable connected at my flat, beginning of april i had a rep come round and sign me up with the condition that he can get the other flats to sign up as well (its not a standard install as the line was across the road up a pole and im more than 35m away) this all went well and i was signed up dated 5/4/7, within a week i had guys working on the line to my fence...then...nothing....put through one of those help desk type things on there website and got a reply saying it had been forwarded on and i would recieve a call within 72hrs, 2 weeks later i put in another help desk thingy and waited, went back to see its status and it was gone, tried again and failed again. in june i either emailed or rang up (cant remember which) and asked what was going on and they promtly sent round people to finish the rest of the install. that got the cable under my driveway and the grey box attached to my house....this got my hopes up....then 2 weeks later i still hadnt been connected, i rang up and got a sympathetic ear for my troubles and they got the ball rolling again for the inside part of my connection (apparently there was no install date for me at all!!!) i was told last wednesday that some one would be round to sort everything on thursday, thursday i got a call from someone that thought i still needed the line from the street installed and i corrected him and he sed he would be round on friday, friday i got a call saying they had to send me out a number porting permission form and i had to sign it and send it back and they would install in the next couple of days.its now tuesday, i havent got a call but if i did i imagine it would be to set the date even further away, im really quite frustrated especially being without internet for 4 months i dont think telecom would even take this long....be good if i could get a response from telstra in here since their site doesnt work for me and everyone on the fone just gives me a later date for install. even after all this frustration i still want telstra cable and tv despite the other services i could subscribe to without the hassel...

thanks for reading

MY EYES! please, next time, can you please use paragraphs to convey your message? it's like reading matrix code and hard to interprete your request... my eyes got too tired and lost in the sentences!

If you want people to response quickly to your query, help us to help you by formatting your message a bit better! Mmm-kay?

Good for you Zolly and Halfbaked. try typing out your message in a notepad first or something, then paste in here when you are ready to post it off ;-) neat trick to use when accessing website while at work! :-D

Hi Halfbaked..

Good lord, it's been so long now since I got a username, I can't remember.
This should have been given to you, from memory, once you were connected.

You have an account number now? If so it would be best to call the 0508 number and choose to be put
through to the helpdesk for either Paradise or Clear (whomever you chose as your ISP on joining).
They should be able to sort this out for you over the phone if you provide your account number.

Cheers,
ZollyMonsta
