Just got a new phone to play with.

When I get an MMS message

Rather than displaying the actual message and letting me get at the picture and sound files

It says to go look at www.pxtworld.co.nz

Why?

Could it be because I'm an on account custiomer with an old simcard?

advTHANXance

Jim

Pretty much... Try sending a MMS to yourself, this should set the systems at Vodafone. If not you can call them and ask to have this setting changed.

Sending to yourself doesn't work - you need to send an MMS to someone else.

All good now :)

Cheers

Ok... Got the instructions mixed up then. But good to see sending a MMS fixed the problem. Enjoy the media...

Incorrect sending a MMS (PXT) to your own MSISDN would work. This will advise MMSC that you have a PXT capble handset

Just be aware that there is no way it seems to change back to getting the http link texted without calling the customer dis-service team at vodafone.

Thanks for that heads-up.

It may be an issue because

I've ditched the fancy phone anyway

Gone back to something really simple, for which I had a data cable.

I think I really am a luddite at heart

PS: anyone want to buy a virtually unused Siemens M55?
