Hi there

Just wondering (as I can't find it) if there is a webhook in the VFX system somewhere?

Basically, if someone calls me, it sends me an email (well, quite a few of them).

I'd like it to (also?) hit a URL, eg:

http://myserver.com/whatever/incomingcall?number=095551234

I
can then turn off the emails and move it to push notifications :)

Anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks

Nic

If you log in to https://www.xport.co.nz/ you can set up emails to specified address for every incoming call.

EDIT: Under services menu on the left, select VFX, then call notify.

In which case it should really be like PayPal IPN (for those who don't know here it is in a simplified version):

  • PayPal POST to your IPN URL with a KEY
  • Your server GET from PayPal with the KEY
  • PayPal responds with the rest of the transaction
Basically this way you know there's an incoming transaction, and by using the KEY and doing a GET back to PayPal means you are hitting their servers, not blindly receiving a transaction without authentication. You then use the last response for the transaction...

He already does it by he wants VFX to POST to a URL instead of sending an email.

Ahh, now I see - thought the OP wanted one or other of those functions, not to replace email with POST.

This feature does not exist, sorry. Call notify (email) is the closest similar feature available.

Thanks everyone. Yes, thats what I wanted: a GET or POST to a given URL with the phone number passed in. Appears its not supported. Oh well. I can live with email.

Cheers!
