I'm sure Mauricio has a press release about this stashed away somewhere, but I thought I'd break it out because this is an awesome promotion and the video is kind of epic. :)

I do have the press release but only saw it after leaving my desk...

So here it is:

Vodafone launches Fantastic Fridays – and says thanks to customers

Love Fridays? So do we! And soon, Vodafone customers won’t have to wait all week for that Friday feeling with the launch of Fantastic Fridays – an incredible range of movie, music and sports experiences, and fantastic Prepay Deals.

Vodafone Fantastic Fridays is a customer loyalty initiative that rewards and thanks customers for choosing Vodafone – and connects them to the things they love. Vodafone Fantastic Fridays includes:

• Movies: 2-for-1 movie tickets nationwide and exclusive access to other movie-related events and activities
• Music: exclusive music events and activities, including special ticket offers to Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and Royal New Zealand Ballet
• Sports: great ticket offers to sporting events including Vodafone Warriors, and amazing money-can’t-buy experiences with Team Vodafone Sailing
• Prepay Deals: great value deals of loads of minutes and data, personalised for our customers every week

To better understand how to make Fridays even more fantastic, Vodafone asked customers what they like to do – and found that trips to the cinema and live music gigs come out on top.

Matt Williams, Vodafone Consumer Director, says: “Many of us breathe a sigh of relief on Fridays, when we can kick back and do something for ourselves.

“We found that 60% of Vodafone customers have been to the cinema in the last three months, while another 48% have attended a live music event in New Zealand in the last year. And there are 1.1 million Vodafone Warriors fans here too. Our response is to offer something that we know our customers will enjoy.”

Matt continues: “New Zealand has spoken, and we’ve been listening. We want to say thanks to our customers, and Vodafone Fantastic Fridays is how we’re doing it – rewarding Kiwis with stuff they love like movie offers, tickets to the big games, and access to live music.”

Vodafone Fantastic Fridays movies, music and sports experiences are available online from Friday 1 August; customers on the latest Prepay plans will be able to check out the deals waiting for them every Friday via the My Vodafone App, and by calling 321.
