I've been looking here on geekzone and I se the VoIP is locked down on the HG659.
Is the rest of the device locked to Vodafone too or will I be able to use one with other ISP's without issue, apart form VoIP?

Everything will work fine. 
Should be great detail on the device somewhere here.

Yes you can use the HG659 on other providers.
