My iPhone 5 is one of the small percent affected by battery issues and under the Apple iPhone 5 battery replacement program this should be fixed.

However on the Vodafone site why is it mentioning warranty and using Brightpoint? A search of Vodafone shows nothing about Brightpoint? Shall I just take it into the store I bought it from?

Brightpoint are Vodafones repair agents IIRC - so the phone will go to them for assessment I guess and go from there.

https://www.apple.com/nz/support/iphone5-battery/ offers info on the replacements as well.

Take it into the store and mention your IMEI has shown as affected by this issue on Apple's site. They have a specific process for this.
