China is very difficult to get sms delivered. They like to change the rules over there of what number ranges can receive incoming international sms.

I have no problem receiving text message from china just that i can't send it back.

Then if there is no message sending failed on your end the mobile phone provider in china must not be forwarding it on.

Yeah it would be the provider in China. I was having trouble last week replying back to my mum in Cambodia bu she was saying that the provider was doing something over there and couldn't receive txts from anyone back in NZ.

not all providers offer two way SMS communication.

check on telecom/vodafone's website to see what level of service they offer for that Chinese provider.
