I have had a couple of VFX lines for many years now using a Xnet SPA2102.   Since changing our ISP to Orcon a year ago we have intermittent trouble with lost VFX registration.  The problem only seems to occur when Chorus disconnect our DSL (a few times a week currently due to replacing bit of our local cables).  However this could be coincidence.

Anyway when the ADSL connection is restored the SPA2102 does not register and I have to manually pull the power on it to reboot it.  Then it works fine.

I am guessing this could be the Genius modem having a dynamic IP but it seems odd the SPA2102 needs a power cycle.

I thought the easy solution would be soft reboot of the SPA2102 but I see no option on the web interface to reboot and I am unable to login via SSH.  Is there any way to remote reboot the  Xnet 2102 as it is in a different building to where I normally am..

Cheers
Andy

PS IS there a key code sequence to reboot an VFX 2102?

Lift handset and dial: **** then REBOOT (732668)
Had the above scenario on Dynalink routers in the early days too. It will probably be the router not refreshing IP lease and details to the devices after a DSL drop.
