Hi, I have just had a rather negative experience from Vodafone for being forced to move to a different plan. I have been on Ideal Pack Red plan since May 2012 and Vodafone has been gradually increasing the monthly cap to 150GB as of yesterday, so it has been all good.

They send me a letter last week telling me that they will "Upgrade" my plan from 40GB to 80GB for the same price when I am actually on 150GB. So it's all very confusing and I called to ask about it and they said it was a mistake and just ignore the letter.

And today, to my surprise, my monthly data cap is cut to 80gb and as I have already used 120gb I am now liable for the 40GB over-usage, so that's 40 dollars I have to pay with no bandwidth left with 2.5 weeks to go til my monthly anniversary and I will have to pay one dollar per GB.

So I called again and the lady I spoke to insisted that I have been on the standard 40GB plan and I was "Misinformed" about my data cap and I need to pay for the extra bandwidth that I used. I spent 30 minutes trying to convince her that I am not a liar and I need the bandwidth to last the next 2.5 weeks.

She finally agreed to move the monthly data anniversary to tomorrow and waive the fee for over-usage so I can start fresh on the 80GB plan that they upgraded me to.

Still.. I am furious. Did Vodafone forget that they have already upgrade everyone on this plan to 150GB? if they are no longer offering the same plan and have to reduce the data cap, at least do it on the monthly data anniversary, not in the middle and then demand to be paid for the over-usage.

Not to mention the short notice, and the confusion over the usage meter. yesterday it shows I used 120GB of my 150GB datacap and today shows I used 121GB of my 80GB cap. Anyone else here are on the same plan as me? Is Vodafone seriously doing it to everyone on this plan?
