Hi there,

I have just subscribed to Vodafone Naked UFB and have opted to use Open VFX from WXC.  I have received the follwing details from WXC  to set up at router level - in my case its a Gateway from Huaweil HG659 which is has VOIP ports. When setting up here I use the Proxy name thast WXC has given and also the AuthID and AuthPW and still the phoneline does not get enabled.

In HG659 there are two separate ares under Telephony that are:

1. VOIP Provider: here is where I have entered the WXC proxy server that I have been given.  There are other fields in this such as port and local port and SIP domain and I have not been supplied any of this from WXC.

2. VOIP Number: here is where I have entered the User ID which is the phone number they have alloted and then I have enterted the AuthID and Auth PW and then clciked on enable and saved this

After doing all this the phone is not online and still remians offline

As OPENVFX is unsupported I have no idea what I should do to enable it.   Is there a port number or sip domain and things like that WXC must provide me?

Thanks people appreciate if I can get some direction on what I should do.

Kumar

There are some config settings for other non WxC certified devices here
http://help.xnet.co.nz/categories/Open+VFX%7B47%7DDVX/

You may need to use pan.wxnz.net for the "domain" and 5060 for the port

The ports on the device maybe locked, but you can use voip on Voda by connecting your own ATA device.
This is the solution that works.
