I am in Christchurch and my cable is completely dead this morning.

I connected my laptop to the cable modem and I am seeing no packets coming in and pinging the gateway does not get a reply.

I just called the telstra clear call Centre and it played a message saying large number of cable customers in Wellington were having issues. I am in the queue for a call back which it said would be 40 minutes.
