Just wondering what folks opinion of SKY1 PQ on TCL is.  Most of the channels are okay and getting better. It's interesting to compare the PQ of say TV3 on TCL versus Freeview - it's a lot better than it used to be. But Sky1 is pretty lousy with a very soft picture, poor colours and general lack of clarity.  Is this how it appears on the SKY or is it TCL compressing the hell out of it?

Can't wait to see what the PQ will be like when the new digital lineup comes into play (and with it, improved infrastructure they say)

I am guessing by the zero response to this post that

1. Nobody who has TCL  cable service watches SKY One
2. Those that do don't care about video quality
3. It's just me :-(

Maybe with the $1.3M upgrade that TCL are putting through it will be better. And I would might check somewhere that has Sky service to see what Sky One looks like directly from Sky

Sky1 PQ does seem down. especially if you compare to say TV1.

But I think your assumption is right...

There are some reasonable shows on Sky One but they tend to be the older ones. I just checked on a 42" TV that has Sky. The PQ on Sky One was okay but not great but seemed to be better than TCL cable (slightly sharper).
