My download speed has doubled from approx 2Mbit [sometimes if I was lucky 2.6] to how being 3.8 - 4Mbit for the last few nights

I checked with WXC's speedtest and the consumer one. Then I wonder if I now have adsl2+ !

So I checked http://www.telecom.co.nz/binarys/adsl2_20070828.pdf to see my local exchange Johnsonville is scheduled for upgrade 21/9 maybe TCNZ are early ?

Also interesting to see there are approx 4K boardband connections on my exchange

Looking at that PDF my exchange (Mornington) should be switched over by today. Have to check the connection speeds when I get home.

I'm in Mt Wellington, so my exchange should have been upgraded about this time last month but my line still syncs at ADSL_G.dmt and my speed is still the same smelly 2.5Mbps(max) :-( What gives!?

They are only estimates :P

And you will have to manually boot your router off once the profile is activated. You get D/C when your port is moved but not when the 2+ profile is turned on.

Restart every few days and you may find it appear. Unless you are too far out and its falling back to 1.1

I checked & my modem is still sync at G.dmt after reboot so I guess I'm not dsl2+ :-(

Does make me wonder how I got 4Mbit when I normally get 2Mb, maybe tcnz were testing or the backhaul wasn't congested ?

Hopefully after 21 Sept I will be hopefully I get some benefit

Does anyone know of any correlation between my current dsl stats and what I may get with dsl2+ e.g. s/n or attenuation etc
