Does anyone have experience with the genuine n95 from Finland and the fake n95 from china? the chinese ones have a touch screen and are much cheaper (around $400-600NZ)...but i was wondering whether camera quality has also been compromised with the chinese version phones?

Apologies if this has already been covered somewhere else.....

What I understand the fakes are quite poor, although I have no personal experience of them.

Yeah i thought that would be the case.

I was just looking at n95s on ebay though and it seems the version for the US market is made in Finland....and the version for the asia/pacific market is possibly made in china??

Can anyone confirm this?

I don't think there is a difference, there is authentic nokia manufactured and knock-off nokias.  The knock-offs are extremely bad I remember sliding the camera lens of a knock off N95 open but no camera mode turned on.  Went through the menus turned it on and the camera was blatently crap VGA.

Im guessing there are the finnish models, the hong-kong made models and also the el cheapos with their touch screens.

Yes that is right

Although it is made in china it doesn;t necesary mean it is fake.China have genuine factories.A majority of the mobiles in hong kong are made in china.
