I have updated my jasjar to WM6 using the official HTC ROM.  I have got VFNZ internet working but I'm still having trouble getting MMS to go.  The settings on a post in this forum seem to be different to the manual setttings on wireless.vodafone.com.

Vodafone say use port 8080 but the forum post says 9201.  Does the connection need to be under MY ISP or My Work Network?  Will WM6 have different settings? (surely not).

As an aside, in my opinion, the upgrade to WM6, although unsupported, is well worthwhile.  The device seems much more responsive and seems to handle memory much more efficiently.

Ok - I have just followed the instructions in the Dopod 818 sticky post above (after clearing all connections) and managed to get an MMS to send.  Then I added  the www.vodafone.net.nz connection for web surfing and the device is set to autopick but it wont change connections automatically.  Agaid do I need to set up one connection under My ISP and another under work with a proxy?

You should use My ISP in both The Internet and Work.

Only then create another new connection for MMS. This is in the post. Do not select this connection for The Internet or Work, and make sure it's a new Connection not a new modem on My ISP. Placing it on My ISP will only confuse the system which will not be able to pick the correct APN when needed.

Thanks Mauricio - Geekzone to the rescue yet again!!  That works perfectly.
