You've upset she who must be obeyed!

After years of unreliability the T-box has apparently totally carked it, over an hour on hold for SWMBO to talk to a CSR (who was apparently lovely and apologetic), and 5 days till a technician can come look at it.
SWMBO will now spend the next 5 days with 2 sick under 5's and some grumpy teens with only online streams and an XBMC pc in the kids room.

I've already had my ears pinned back about how unamused we are about this situation, and I suspect Vodafones days may be numbered in our household!

KiwiNZ: Have you all the usual concluding the three fingered reset

Appears to be the AC adapter, got her to grab my multimeter out of the garage and she says it's putting out 0 volts.

That's an easy fix. Surely you can just pop in at one of the store to get the replacement?

I believe chorus have to come out and install. When I was using V TV and they swapped my TBOX it required a visit. :(

Some PSUs will only supply power when there is a load on it, there's a chance it's still OK.

Stores are not set up to support fixed services equipment. We don't have the space to store replacements or the tools to diagnose faulty equipment, let alone access to the provisioning systems (e.g. to register a modem to a customer's account for auto setup or to note a TV box MAC address on the account).

I am pretty sure the guy was from chorus.

Don't be fooled by what it says on the side of the van.wink

The side of the van is right - you just need to look down lower by the front bumper.

And yeah, odds are you'll need a tech visit - the equipment is handled and installed by the LFC, including faults.
