I hate bypassing official channels but I can't seem to be able to close my account.

On 6th January I called and asked for my UFB and Vodafone TV to be cancelled. I was told no one from the cancellations team was available and I'd get a call back within 1-2 days.

On 12th January I called back (having not heard from anyone) and spoke to someone. By the end of that phone conversation I was told it has all been closed and I'd receive a final bill and with instructions to return the decoder to any Vodafone retail shop.

On 26th January I receive an email with the bill attached. The invoice date was 21st January and it's a bill for another month of services, 9 days after I'd been told my account was closed, with no mention of anything being cancelled.

Some help would be appreciated please.

Not good, you should be cancelled effective from 6th January and certainly not charged for the service from then.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I think you should contact them again. Make sure this is cleared up and not coming back later.

Best to send an email with your request , then there's no arguments further down the line
if they forget , or claim to have no record of your call.

Twitter seems to be a good way to get businesses to do something, give that a shot if they're on it.

I'll send an email I'm going overseas this evening and don't have an hour of time to set aside for the call.

This is the default page that comes up on the iPad, gold!!!!!!

This issue has finally been sorted, email contact ended up resolving it and getting everything cancelled.

I've wound up with a $41.44 credit, does anyone know what happens to this? Could I apply it to my mobile phone account?
