Hi folks,

Got me a blackberry and loaded that BIS plan @$35.00 per month for 3mb of data, etc which is great. I have also loaded yahoo messenger on the blackberry and wanting to know how their charges work.

If I log in to the Yahoo Messenger on the blackberry, would that be counted as traffic? or would that just be a one off traffic for authentication or??

I would like to know this just in case I use it over my quota and it is going to be expensive, any help would be much appreciated.

It will be counted as traffic when you login, when you send or receive messages and even when you don't do anything - most of the times the clioent will need to send out a heartbeat to confirm the connection is still alive, etc...
