Don't hang up and listen to messages again and then save! Once you hang up it's gone

Hey - good idea. Maybe this 1080/milk business is just a desperate attempt to retrieve a lost message...!

I was thinking how handy it would be if the VM system could be set to email sound files of your messages to your registered email as well as playing them back.

I have ACR app on my android - which pretty much recorded all my conversations for 30 days.

I found it useful for things when recording address/reference number (no need to scramble for paper and pen!)/fast forward the voicemail to where I want after the first time listening to it.

2talk voicemail does that and it is very handy.  Unfortunately I don't think they provide mobile services.

Just divert all missed calls to the 2talk voicemail. I do that and get my voicemail via email. There are instuctions here on GeekZone somewhere on how to set it up.
