Hi everyone

I recently had my iTalk (Callplus) telephone number ported to VFX. I'm really happy with the service, except that my Caller Display is not working correctly. I know that the number is being received by World Exchange, because the number appears in my email notifications when I get a voicemail.

The other interesting behaviour is that when I'm on a call, and a 2nd call comes through - the caller display works correctly and displays the new caller's number on screen.

I'm fairly sure it's not my phone, as we have VFX at work too - and I brought their phone home to try out, but exhibited the same behaviour.

Anyone got any ideas? Or similar stories?

Cheers

Nigel

Interesting that it works for Call Waiting but not on the original call, if you PM your details phone number and device type I will take a look or have one of the guys take a look and see if we see an issue,

Also what make and model phone are you using ?

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for the info, I have taken a look at the 4 calls you received today and CLI was passed to your device for all of them, the config looks okay as well, what model panasonic phone do you have , I have a couple in the office I will look to test with and see if we can reproduce the issue as everything looks okay here at the moment.

Have you tried another cable from the phone to the 2102 ?, just a thought but may be a quick test if you have one handy.

Well I'm back again Nigel.....Think I found the issue it does look like a corruption. it was actually a missing line from the config, working on it now you will require a reboot of your device to pick up a new config shortly,

all done so give the device a restart and give it a minute or 2 to pick up the changes and then it should be all fixed.

Also I am looking to see what went wrong in the device profile for this service in the first place.

Thanks, that's done it. I really appreciate the quick service.

It's the opposite of my previous telephone provider!
