Anyone else having issue connecting to Netflix? I can't seem to connect on my Vodafone cable internet - to get to Netflix's website or to get to Netflix channel on one of the Apple TV. Strangely with one of our Apple TV that I had success watching Netflix last night, is able to get content without problem on the same wifi network.

However the Netflix (website or content) is completely inaccessible for me - on iPhone, desktop browser or on one other Apple TV. When I turned off wifi on my iPhone to access Netflix website, it's fine.

Issue happened from 8:45pm 25-Mar-2015.
The cable internet location: Upper Riccarton, Christchurch.

Grrr. Rather strange.

I tried plugging my laptop straight to the cable modem, it certainly can access the website fine. Though when connecting through the wireless router (Apple Airport Extreme) all hell break lose when trying to access Netflix website. It's totally weird :-/

I got apple extreme on voda 100/10 in Brooklyn. And works fine here. Can stream Netflix with or without smartdns. But I prefer to have smartdns to access other regions. Kids loves Canada content more than others.

Check your dns settings on AE.

I have a DNS server (Yosemite Server on Mac mini 2011 model with 4GB) for Plex Media Server and PlexConnect. I suspect it is to do with that. However I have changed my Airport Extreme to use only Vodafone DNS servers (203.97.78.43/44) and still can't get to Netflix.

This morning there was glimpse of hope. I can load up Netflix website, but it's very flaky - suspect the multitude of possible IP address under netflix.com domain and my DNS server (Yosemite Server) is not able to resolve them in time? I don't know. Could possibly be the shortage of available memory (being 4GB only) and/or CPU maxed out?

I'm looking to get another wireless router to alleviate the issue - so what's a good wireless router to get? One of those tri-band ones (like Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000)?

I had the same issues and the discovered I had been playing with DNS settings when I was trying out Unotelly. Once I reverted to Vodafone's standard DNS servers it was all good. Just a thought.

[Just read you have your own DNS server. So this probably isn't of any use to you.]

I will try that again tonight - I tried that last night and didn't work - but I could've been frustrated and tired and all I want is my Netflix!!! :-( lol.

Problem solved... turned out having IPv6 set on the Airport Extreme Base Station caused the whole Netflix issue... :-/

Good to hear you found a solution. That sounds like an annoying one to troubleshoot. :)

Certainly was a nightmare to try to find whether it's the router or general network issue.

Seems like Netflix doesn't support IPv6 anymore and that caused the confusion as to the origin of my IPv6 IP address (SixXS IPv6 Tunnel, set to Christchurch, New Zealand location).
