On hold for over an hour cause Vodafone's great service.

Its been this way for a few days now, can't comfortable sit down and stream or play online or anything of the sort without it randomly cutting out for no reason.

A modem reset temporarily brings it back but then the cycle repeats.

Anything I could do to help this issue?

On VDSL and in glen Eden, Auckland.

mine has been cutting out a lot today also.  Weird thing is I also get a message showing the Vodafone logo and something about account is activating and could take upto 60 minutes.   I have only had this account for 8 years.  So seems like Vodafone still having some issues

assuming your modem has a light for DSL and Internet, check if one is lit up and not the other.

Checking your routers status page and logs would also be a good start.

When it rains heavy like it has today in Auckland it is not uncommon, Water gets into the lines and causes havoc

@TyroneB is this over WiFi or LAN cable and has it only happen since all this rain?

Not related to the outage on Thursday moring this is 110% resolved, If anything related to the bad weather passing over NZ and water getting onto the copper lines

I've also had  this message here in Nelson twice around lunch time Saturday, turning off the router then back on fixed it.

Never seen it before though.

I've had very similar symptoms to the OP, although I'm on fibre and at the other end of the North Island.

Something dicky with the router firmware perhaps?
Mine's a HG659, H/W ver B. S/W ver  V100R001C206B013.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Where is PeterReader when you need him?

1) what is your sync rate.
2) what is your location.
3) you testing over WiFi or Ethernet?
4) you got a master filter installed?
