If my account is eligible for the $5 a day roaming, do I need to call Vodafone to get it activated? I just spent 25 minutes on hold, and decided to hang up. It's a shame they don't have a call back queuing system, where you keep your place in line and they call you back when they're free.

Anyway, hoping someone here has the answer - I've had a mosey around the website and it doesn't appear to explicitly say whether I have to do anything beforehand or not.

Thanks. I did see that info, but it doesn't say if I need to get it 'activated' before I leave. I know I used to have to ring and get it activated before I went to Aus. Maybe things have changed a little- which suits me! no need to call.

Sweet!

Once roaming is active it's active for good unless you request for it to be removed,

To extend on that, just found this page http://www.vodafone.co.nz/help/mobile/before-you-roam/

T
his specifically says that it needs to be activated, using My Account. But of course as you said, if its been activated before (and I didn't deactivate it), then it's all good to go.

Not sure why that didn't come up when using the search engine - I'll put it down to having 'The dumb' on a Wednesday morning.
