Apologies if this has been brought up elsewhere but couldn't find anything. Just wondering when Vodafone are going to start selling Galaxy S6 with no plan? (i.e. buying phone outright)

Thanks!

Always happens a few weeks after they first go on sale but it depends on supply and demand as well, So no fixed time frame

Cool thanks - Having no fixed time frame with a guideline is better than nothing :)

Just checking you know about the Monthly Device Payment option? It's avialable on a few of our open term plans.

So you pay the phone off over 24 months with $99 deposit. No interest etc. More details and the list of plans it's available on at our site here

Thats kind of the opposite of what the OP (and I when I want a phone) are looking for.

I want to go in to a shop and leave with a phone in exchange for payment. No change to my phone connection, going on a plan, getting a no term plan that I will immediatly cancel etc. Just swap money for phone.

Thanks but was trying to find out in terms of getting one and hooking it up to via my employer's corporate connection - not sure they'd like paying for a monthly fee on top of that :)

If you already have service, why not buy it elsewhere?

Do you have a few options of where to buy? Only ones I can find so far are Spark & 2Degree versions and I'd rather get a Vodafone based one to avoid the problem I have with my S3 with Semble.

All good. I agree that does sound like the best option for you. Hopefully there'll be more stock soon and the outright purchase option will be made available.

Good news - the Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB is now available for outright purchase in all Vodafone retail stores [Edit - it's subject to stock availability of course, this isn't an absolute guarantee that all stores have stock, but it should all be sweet]. Please note that's the 32GB one only and the S6, not the S6 edge.

It's effective immediately, if you go into a store and they haven't got the update yet please politely ask if they've seen the retail comms email at 9:12am. ;)  I thought you guys might like to know so you can grab one today and get it set up over the weekend.

Remember to grab a Semble sim too if you have a Visa or Mastercard with ASB or BNZ.

I remember in the other S6 thread people buying phones outright from Samsung Kiosks at the Albany Mall. I'm not sure which particualr models they have available.

I think it's $1,149. That's the bundle saving mentioned when I have it in my cart with a plan.

Thanks - interestingly that makes it $50 more that Telecom & 2Degrees versions :)

Might want to re-send this one to your Te Awa Store at the base, tried to buy 2 of them - no go, so went and gave 2 Degrees my money.
