I normally run TUC to monitor my cable usage, it is a fantastic app which simply scrapes data from the usage meter page and displays it in the system tray. As of a couple of days ago however TelstraClear have obviously updated their usage meter which has resulted in the program no longer working. This has since been rectified today by a new version of the program but it meant that last night I logged into the TCL usage meter to check my current usage and at the same time notice was that my usage for the previous 5 months was all just below my 20GB cap. This surprised me as on my September TCL bill I had been charged for 2 extra 1GB packs @ $2.95 each and now I'm seeing the usage meter tell me that in the same month I used 19.25GB.

I rang TCL this morning who themselves looked at my usage and credited me the $5.90 and they have no idea how I was charged. I'm a happy camper in this respect but for anybody else out there if you are charged for extra usage it may pay to check your usage meter to ensure you have been charged correctly.

I don't imagine that the TCL CSR will escalate this job at all so if anybody from TCL wants to look into this to try and identify the cause and possibly fix it them PM me and I'll give you my account number.

All they've done is change the page location from www.telstraclear.co.nz\usagemeter\login.cfm to www.telstraclear.co.nz\tools\usagemeter.login.cfm

I run a similar program at home (and dont ask how many times I've asked TCL for an RSS or XML feed of this data)  And mine broke as well.  This is what fixed it, so if your TUC is updatable you may be able to update the URL.

It is a great little traffic checker, that works with most ISP's.

Sure is! I use it for TCL Cable.. no having to login manually via the website.
