*steps up to the soap box*
Had a bit of bad luck today, broke the screen on my S4, briefly considered just getting it fixed, but the new S6 looks so good, so been a loyal on account VF customer I thought I would head on down to my local VF store and buy a new one, well not quite 1 but 2 have to get a new one for the wife as well or it dog box time for me.
I ask the sales person, I want 2 new S6's, we are already on account customers and will quite happily commit to a 2 year plan under our existing plan details (Red+ Essentials open term)
This works out over 2 years to about $17 less than the full retail price over the 2 years, ok, but can we just pay the cash price and commit to the 2 year plan? - NO was the response, "got to be payments over 2 years"
Can't really figure it out, so we walk away right opposite VF to the 2Degrees store, they were more than happy to take our money, only catch was we must at least purchase a 2D prepay sim for each handset, well for $5 each it was a no brainier.
They gave us a nice shiny blue 2 Degrees bag, we walk back over to VF and get a free sim swap to a nano sim, now we have 2 brand new S6's on out existing open term contracts!
Can't really figure out why VF wouldn't want to keep making money from existing customers, We gave them the chance
