Annoying..

My parents have vodafone broadband, and I think this is the second time this has happened.  The bandwidth hasn't updated since around the start of the month, and there's this non-clickable mystery annoyance in the form of a yellow - thing that seems to mean nothing, but a giant F U.

I'd call up vodafone, but that gets you further frustration in terms of a one hour wait, and then some indian bloke or bird who you can barely hear, and who doesn't have the answers.

Anyone experienced this and know what it is?

Doesn't it update based on the billing cycle, not the calendar month?

Yellow thing?  I have no idea what you mean here.

There's a screenshot at the top of my post, see here also, if it's not appearing for some reason.

Yes.. this month long period it's billed for.  But it updates in real time - well, vodafones approximation of real time, which means 6 hours later.  Interestingly, I used to use broadband 2005-ish overseas, and their nation-wide service updated in actual real time.

By "yellow thing": do you mean the circular yellow button with a minus sign in it at the right of "GB"?

That button is supposed to display previous billing periods.
Clicking on the blue underlined date range should show you daily usage during the current billing period.

Possibly Flash is required for these to work.

Ah, never noticed it before.  But it does nothing.

Yes, but what you will notice is that the billing period is at ~10GB and has been for almost 20 days despite continual usage.  Drilling down further only shows empty days.
