I'm not able to dial a number using VFX but it goes through successfully using 2talk. I'm using a Linksys SPA2102 ATA and open VFX. The help desk at WxC indicated that it was a codec problem. Codecs are set for G711a, G711u, and G729a, with the preference is this order.

Feel free to test this out if you wish. The number is for GlobalMeet (Telecomferencing) 0800 886 007. You won't get far without the password, of course. The recorded message states that the call "cannot be completed at this time".

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi DrCheese.

You are sending out a whole bunch of codecs (which shouldn't really be an issue as the far end will reply to you with the ones it can use) but I think the issue here is your RTP packetization timer :

So, I would start with changing your ptime to 20, on the SPA2102 you should find a menu with this :

Change the RTP packet size to 0.020 and give it another try.

Change your ptime to 20 not 30, also i would remove the G726, G723 codecs as well
