Anybody noticed that imgur images appear to be very very slow the last couple days?
Example: https://i.imgur.com/LXr9Prx.jpg  (or without SSL)

Trademe performance is abysmal, half the posts in my Reddit app wont load (i.e. ones including imgur hosted content) Start the VPN and all is well though. You're not the only one experiencing this.

203.167.249.139 is part of AS4768 (Owner: CLIX-NZ TelstraClear Ltd,NZ) Not trademe, but part of vodafones network still.

Trademe (202.162.72.2) is AS9834 (Owner: TRADEME-AS-NZ Trade Me Limited,NZ)


i.imgur.com is ran on a fastly cdn (IIRC it used to be on aws) I would suspect the change of hosting providers is what your noticing..

Firstly, we are talking about i.imgur.com not imgur.com two different host names.

You will see in my traceroute I highlighted the last IP that responded,

It's neither of those.

The last IP that responded in the trace was 203.57.145.139 then the responses stopped.

My bad, just got home from work and didnt compare traces accurately when doing lookups.

Yes, 203.57.145.139 is part of AS9834 too.

203.167.249.139 vs 203.57.145.139 at a skim they look much alike!
Excuse my mistaken there.


As for where the content is actually hosted, You still do end up on the same endpoint.

https://www.fastly.com/customers/imgur May 2014 they became a customer, with announcements going out March yeah.

Glad to see I'm not the only one, also on Vodafone cable 100/10, i.imgur content pretty much fails to load every time last couple of days.

edit: appears to be fixed now.

I am on Sprk VDSL and have also been having issues with i.imgur.com. Every few days images will start failing to load. The site loads fine, but the images don't. Funnily enough a phone reboot fixes it, or waiting for an unknown period of time.
