Man are we being ripped. Accidentally checked my email the other day using mobile data - $20.56 for 1.8mb. Yay!

It depends what you mean by being ripped off. I'd say AT&T are ripping off non iPhone customers by charging them US$29.99 per month for 10MB of data as a data addon to a voice plan - in NZ you can get 1GB for the same price.

NZ has some of the cheapest mobile data rates in the world for monthly plans of 1GB or greater. Below 1GB we have issues and if you're hooking up an iPhone in NZ you've got to be crazy to stay on the casual $10/MB plan.

The 200mb and 1GB plus plans are excellent value for money. Rather than using casual perhaps you should look at a data plan? Or look at limiting what you download when you check your inbox (many phones allow you to download headers only, or limit attachment downloads).

Its not a easy task just comparing mobile prices country to country without taking a lot of factors into account.

I like that you can buy these plans even when you're not using an iPhone. I epsically like the unlimited Data part.

Can't beat the burble of that American V8. Ohh yea!
