We have two world exchange lines (one ported telecom number and independent) were faulting out on the ported telecom number when people from particular exchanges ring in

clearly it's an exchange fault but what i want to know is;

1) is wrldxchange actively lobbying for exchange upgrades
2) why has no one from worldxchange ever actually rung me back about th fault (logged it several times now)

Sorry, I don't understand what the problem is (faulting out on the ported number ???) , also if you have a fault ticket number I can take a look for you and advise.

but if you let me know what the exact issues are I can give some details

I am firmly of the opinion that WxC (VFX / XNET) sincerely do their best for customer service and that Maverick in particular appears to have his finger on the pulse when it comes to resolving issues.

I'm a happy XNET /VFX camper and do enjoy reading the successful resolutions to fellow WxC users problems on these forums. At least I know that we are in 'good hands' and that we are 'not just another number'

keep it up WxC!!

Don't ask for a lighter load, rather a stronger back.

I agree, WxC is one of those rare finds in the Telco world.

I know I miss my WxC provided connection. Here in the UK we're with Virgin. It's nice, 20M/768k but if there's a fault you have to ring a number that costs per minute. If they admit fault they'll credit your account back, but you have to specifically ask them to do so. You can get free support via a newsgroup. Ugh, it's crap. Fast though.

Anyway keep at it benkepes, I never had any problems with WxC's service.

The issue has been esculated to another carrier Ben as the issue appears to be with customers on the Telstra Network, Calls from other Carriers are working fine to your ported number
