My WXC VDSL won't connect, so I call the helpdesk.

"Welcome to Worldxchange. We are unable to take your call at present due to an emergency evacuation".

Yikes. Hope all is OK!!

Thanks - the link got reset (remotely?) and it came back up about 2min before I was called. Was the evac and the outage related?

Nothing from the WXC end which would have caused this (no outages),  we'll start an anaylser on your circuit - if issues persist give us a call.

Thanks. This is what I observed: VDSL was fine, the PPP wouldn't authenticate (I think timing out, the MP264 log wasn't clear). A restart before first calling wouldn't fix it, then while I was watching it, at the same time as you guys re-entered the office, the VDSL link reset and PPP came up.
