Hi All,

Ive already done a search of the forums but couldn't find anything matching my specific query.

I am a vodafone/telstraclear customer in Christchurch on their cable network. I am in the process of having my homeline number ported to 2talk with the intention of going naked broadband once the port is complete. I am not under any contract with vodafone.

My question is this. Once the homeline number port changes over to 2Talk will my cable broadband service on vodafone/telstra cable network be interrupted / disconnected?

I can understand if it was a xDSL connection porting the number would cause the service to be disconnected but as the cable network is completely separate from the phone will I still have a disconnection issue?

If anyone else has done this and could comment it wold be appreciated. Also what is the usual time frame for porting from voda to 2Talk.

Thanks and regards
Marty

We ported from TelstraClear cable to WorldxChange a couple of years ago with no issues.
The LightSpeed plan we were on changed to Cable + TV with no issues. Porting took a couple of days.

Edit: We are in Wellington

You won't have any issues.

in the xDSL world the issue arises when the LSP doesn't offer a naked connection which means both services will be terminated.
