The Telstra press release said that the 25mbps should be here by the end of the year - http://www.telstraclear.co.nz/company-info/media-release-template.cfm?newsid=275&myear=2007

Does anyone know if this is still on track? I thought that perhaps it ties in with the upgrades they've been doing to the cable tv?

I would guess with the whole rebate thing going on that it will be delayed until they can get that sorted out.

If they can't supply 10mbps then I am quite sure they will not be able to supply 25mbps

I was looking forward to the bump to 25Mbit.

But with the letter I got in the post the other day saying I'd get a $20 monthly rebate until it's implemented. And the fact that I'm having absolutely 0 cable problems myself...

I'm pretty happy either way.

Has anyone had a rebate letter in Christchurch?

There is not an issue in CHCH as bad as the one in wellington at the moment.

Christchurch will be the only one with a potential 25mbps upgrade, with the issues in wellington, they are still to upgrade the network in wellington - not until january.
