Have been thinking about going naked dsl with Xnet and have been looking at the costs. Going by the Xnet website the below should would work?

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Networking-modems/Wireless-networking/Other/auction-130437342.htm

$85 is a good price? Going by pricespy the cheapest is $102 for PAP2T.

The install seems straight forward, already have the wireless router so just going to connect the above to one of the LAN ports on that.

This is a PAP2-NA and will be no use for VFX. You need to get a PAP2-T. The NA has a few major issues with it and a lot of the cheap NA's doing the rounds on ebay are actually dodgy units (possibly chinese clones) that all have the same MAC address.

WxC will not connect a PAP2-NA up to their network.

See my post here , there are a number of these showing up on trademe and are counterfiet devices (they all have the same MAC address), they are the PAP2NA version and we will not connect them to VFX sorry.

LOL Sorry about that I must learn to use search/read the forum posts before posting. Thanks for the prompt reply :) Will be looking at getting a PAP2T through elive (ANZ egate FTW) $104 seems like a reasonable price and I've delt with them before.

The ones with all the same mac address are ones that were locked to vonage or someone else, and have being unlocked by replacing the entire flash memory with a copy from an unlocked one. Ok if you are using them internally and only have one going to the same asterisk box, but obviously putting several on the same ethernet segment isnt going to work ;)
