Hey, over the last few weeks I have found my phone when put down will go to 1-2 bars of signal, no cellsite name and not get incoming calls when like this. Move it a few cm and its back to close to full and on westharbor (the usual) - put it back where it was and it will hold onto the good signal and get calls. So its like there is some ghost un-named really crap site that its only just picking up and not able to get back to.
Now, I could go get a nice shiney new 3g phone, since there is pretty good 3g coverage in the house, but thats an expense that I dont want to pay for both my phones I use often. Or I could port to telecom, since that doesnt have the problem, and now they have a $99 phone that will port I can do that, but then all my friends will not want to text back since its off network.
I have called vodafone, and spoken to their department of misinformation who assure me that it must be my phone thats the problem (yeah, ok, both nokias and the SE are stuffed)
The weirder thing is, my age old 5110 doesnt fall over to this mystery cellsite of no name, it sticks on the good ones.
Why cant vodafone just stick a site in, since the whole area is pretty bad even by admission of their own website.
