1st change:

Got up Tuesday morning, turned on TV to watch one of my favorite channels...

It's Bloody TV1!!  Checked TV and T Box, and yep TV 1! used the remote to select the Arts channel 27. It's a bloody shopping channel!! Tried 8 The living channel. It's NOW Jones! tried 9 Food TV. It's now the ZONE! switched to the Guide, and all the channels have been changed!  No notifications or emails....

Or did I miss them.

2nd change:

This morning TUC was showing I've used  53% of my 100GB data cap for the month.
Turn on the computers tonight when I get home from work, TUC and my Profile on Vodafone show Ive only used 35% of my data cap, and it now says I have a 150 GB monthly cap. Again no notification of this change from Vodafone.

PS. Not a complaint, just an observation...

Regarding the channel changes:

I saw a Sky ad, incidentally on 1st Sept, that from 1 Sept some channel numbers will be changed, so new channels can occupy the spots. http://www.skytv.co.nz/Default.aspx?tabid=1939

I have noticed that Vodafone have tended to up my data (mobile) and later told me about it.

I am thinking this is a damned if you do damned if you don't.

Option1 They tell everyone the data cap is being raised, said people ring un incessantly until the change happed.

Option2 They change for everyone then announce it, net result someone post on line asking about it (no phone calls :) )

As far as the channels I would have hoped for notice on this one to be fair.

Sky have been advertising for weeks that their channel lineup was changing. I've found the amount of advertising for this to have been incredibly annoying, so presumably you don't watch enough TV to have noticed it!

It would have been nice to be emailed about the change; I don't tend to watch the channel I saw the advert on, on 1st Sept, otherwise I wouldn't have known about the changes: I highly doubt Fox News channel & ParliamentTV are going to show that ad.

Dont get Sky announcements on ex Telstra T-box. It's usually an onscreen you've got mail alert before hand, or occasionally a letter in the mail.

Sky have been running actual ads on their channels, not announcements/notifications.

Agreed.

Although I could not work out why I would care - if I want, say, the History Channel I just hit the guide, select it and press go. Why does anyone use channel numbers any more?!

Since when was selecting channels with numbers a thing?

I am not a vodafone tv user but on the sky set top dust collector, all the channels are selected by the G button. The number buttons still have labels on them.
