Anyone else getting this.

Not so good for FPS, so not really that happy.
Definitely seems VF side as rebooted the router etc.

Executed ping tests from both PC on wired Ethernet + on the router itself.

EDIT:
- VF cable Christchurch.
- Normally get about 47 ms to NSW and 69 ms to SA, 8 ms to Chch.

@NZCrusader We can take a look next week thanks for the trace route,

@timmmay do you have to post a trace route in every single Vodafone thread from another ISP when someone starts a thread about latency and mention again this is why you left Vodafone / Telstraclear due to routing

This must be about the 20th time you have done this it adds zero value please leave it to us to look into and follow-up

John

Well its getting worse, throughputs a bit unreliable too now.
Don't know if I can wait till Monday.

Normally never get below 110 Mbps / 9 Mbps on this connection - to any NZ or AU destination.

Not sure about the throughput decrease, but potentially a transparent device is acting up or packets are being buffered.

Either way, had to log into GZ 3x as the pages aren't loading and it looks like some packets are being dropped.

I will go check the modem too... just in case... but it was good a few hours ago.

Further to this the links off to speedtest.net are getting smashed so if you can test to somewhere else or test via FTP file download

Hmm so I was wrong.
Issue seems to be related to the Cisco DOCSIS modem (ok I might give Huawei a second thought now).

If anyone else encounters this issue, remember to reboot the modem too - not just the router.

Not sure what the core issue is though, maybe a software bug or something wrong with the DOCSIS output?

Thanks also to Janice & John for their replies & investigation.

I will keep an eye on it to make sure things remain fine.

Great to see its sorted and it's not actually a routing issue as others above were trying to point out

All good NZCrusader. For future reference to anyone who encounters this issue, if the first hop of your traceroute is far too slow, this indicated some issues between your setup and the first network hop. The node had enough capacity in NZCrusaders case. Anything between the computer and the cmts couldve affected the performance. In this case it was the modem.
