when i look at the TC website (http://www.telstraclear.net.nz/residential/inhome/digital-tv/channel-line-up.cfm and choose skysport plus.. for the F1) i see that i should be getting "Alt tv" and "triange tv"; i was also missing MTV..
i called TC and the guy asked me to list the channels i am not getting. i listed the 3.. he told me that "Alt tv" and "Triange TV" did not exsist.
i said the web site said i should have them. he asked me for the channel numbers, which i gave him, had me remove my card and then unplug my decoder.
then replug it and power it up, and insert the card and test the channels.. i then had "MTV" but not the other 2.

he told me that they didnt exsist..
i told him that the web site told me i was paying for them.. he got me to hold, then when he came back he told me that they were not avaliable yet...

i have left it at that for now.. but it bugs me..
shouldnt i be able to get them?

If you read this thread here TCL give an update before Xmas

Hi

Well it has been a very busy 2 months in our Broadcast Operation team and I would like to update you on the current TV situation.

I was pleased to see contributors to this site recognising the picture improvements for the recently added channels such as Vibe and Crime & Investigation.

I must apologise however, that due to late delivery of the key receivers for the picture quality upgrade for Free to Air and Sport  and Movies channels, we are unable to complete this work prior  to Christmas.  The issue was apparently related to a chipset failure and our supplier needing to change chipset supplier at the last minute and then needed to complete soak testing.

The remaining lower priority channels will also be delivered after the holidays.  They are Alt TV, Triangle TV, Shine and The Cheese Radio.  We have been recently advised by City TV (regional Wellington channel) that they will not begin transmission till April.

In summary:

  1. Picture improvements will be seen on TV1, TV2, TV3 and SKY Sport/Movies soon after 14th January.
  2. New channels will also be added in the same timeframe, with equivalent picture quality to the new channels.
  3. Separately VLAN segmentation for the entire network has been completed as well as several other enhancements to software to stop the  re-booting of STBs.
  4. Further work will be continuing over the next few months to monitor and fine tune the set top box and TV  modem performance to ensure optimum performance.

Thanks again for your comments, support and patience.

Merry Christmas
