Hi all

Can anyone give me some advice as to which is the better datacard - the Novatel XU870 or the Huawei E800?

They both seems to have the same specs, so I was mainly wondering which one had the best reception.

Thanks
Paul

I think the Huawei only came out because of the good Vista support Huawei offered

I use the Novatel XU870 at home for broadband on our main laptop, and use it on our 14-inch one when we travel. While I've never used the Huawei, I really like the Novatel because it looks good in your laptop, it sits out of the way, the status lights are in a good position, and it's easy to carry around in its little plastic container.

When Vodafone supposedly start upgrading the towers in April to support HSUPA you'll be able to flash the Novatel to take advantage of the increased download speeds. I can only assume you'll be able to do this with the Huawei but again without actually using one I'm not sure.
