Hi

Does anyone know when / if the Nokia 6500 classic (or slide) is going to be available on VFNZ? On Nokia's website it's no longer listed as "coming soon", but I've not been able to find it on VFNZ's website yet.

If so, any idea of pricing?

thanks

Its available through Parallel Importers already (and seriously, buy it from them and don't pay Vodafone a premium for a version of the phone with their own horrible firmware on it).

$659 at Parallel Imported
$649 at Etown and Coolmobile
$620 at Expert Infotech

The extra money at Parallel Imported is probably worth it, since their post-sales experience is a little better than the others (+its 12month warranty Vs 3month or less).

I played with this phone a little at Nokiaworld last December, very nice (for a feature phone, I prefer N-Series). Exceptional build quality and good feature set for an S40 phone. BTW, whatever the spec sheet says I can confirm that this phone will accept up to 4GB MicroSDHC cards (put my 8GB card in, but it only saw the first 4GB).

Hi

Thanks for that. I've not looked into parallel imports before (I'm from the UK so am used to a free phone on contract every year!) but this seems to be the way to do. They're doing it for $539 now - not a bad price at all.

That price is for the classic, the slide is the price I quoted.
