If I move from XNET DSL with a free Static IP to Fusion, will my Static IP remain the same and will it still be free?

Thanks,
Jon.

I would also like to know before signing up for Fusion.  Phil/Cameron/Wendy can one of you please answer this as it sounds like the help desk might give us 10 different answer (understandable, it is early days).  Thanks.

Current standings was if you had a free Static before the Policy change then that stayed in place, I am assuming this applies to a switch to Fusion.

Good Question though.

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

My static IP held on through the changeover. I've done a few router reboots since then and I still have the same IP.

Is there any way to get port25 without a static yet? Or a way to apply for a free static if I was to move to fusion from another ISP?

Is there a 100% positive answer on this please? I've tried phoning and asking, but Fusion is too new and nobody knows for sure.

Thanks.
Jon.

There's no changes to your static when you change to Fusion, it's treated as a plan change by our system. :)

Thanks!

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.
