Despite the refunds over poor internet speeds on TCL cable, I've noticed international speeds on TCL are better than ever before. I quite often do large FTP uploads to Europe and I'm now getting about 1.5Mbps. That's just fantastic for me. Also, TCL seem to have finally leveraged their trans-tasman fibre and I'm getting speeds to Sydney about the same as national speeds. This makes it fantastic for downloads from Australian-based mirrors.

Pity about crappy peering with Citylink.

That's intereresting. Everytime I have tried to do FTP uploads (well act as a ftp server) I find the uploads re capped at about 40KB/sec. That's not a total limit since I have asked the user to start a number of concurrent sessions and they all seem to top out at about 40KB/sec. Strange.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I'm using Filezilla server and client - they work great.
