Hi

I'd like to plug two phones into my SPA2002. I have a single line, or number from VFX.

Id would be nice to be able to make 2 simultaneous calls.

Is any of this possible?

Thanks

Nigel

To answer the question in the title of your topic, obviously you can.

To answer whether you can make two SIMULTANEOUS calls, do you mean to make a conference call?

You can make 3 way conference calls with VFX.

If you want 2 phones into 1 line, you need a simply double adapter.  If you want 2 phones into 2 lines with seperate numbers, that is about $8 per month extra for the second line.

You can never have enough Volvos!

To be a bit clearer about what i'd really like:

1. I have a single phone plugged into the SAP2002
2. I have a single VFX number

I'd like to be able to plug in a 2nd phone to the spare port, do some software configuration step - and then be able to use both phones simultaneously. To different numbers (ie: not a conference call). And, I'd like to do all this at no extra cost ;-)

If this is possible, what steps would I need to take?

Thanks

Nigel

It won't work. You can only have one device configured per SIP extension. The only way to do this is run Asterisk, the (current) VFX Asterisk configuration allows up to 2 simultaneous incoming or outgoing calls at once.

I believe is a feature that WxC will release at a later stage, i.e. one number but more than one SIP device; but most likely there would be some extra charge for this.
