What is it with the vodafone website????

Anytime I try to make any changes I get the "sorry there is a problem with this service".............

This seems to be a common theme with the vodafone website. Is it just me or is anyone else having problems?

I have been with vodafone on-account for over a year and I think I am yet to successfully make any changes via the website, normally works with checking your account balance etc but anything more complicated and it seems to fall over.

I have been thinking about cancelling my on-account plan as I have a prepay as well but I am considering the new family add on they have introduced but the continued website problems I have is dam frustrating!

Edit: Also if anyone from vodafone reads this are you still on track to be able to port a vodafone prepay to vodafone on-account in April? I use my prepay number the most and if I stick with on-account I would like to transfer my vodafone prepay number over.

I submitted a request yesterday to have one of my You Choose addons removed. Got a text message about 2 hours later that reads "Hi, we have recieved your request to add TXT100, however the info you provided is invalid, pls call 777 to speak with Customer Services, Thanks Vodafone"

Well for starters I asked for it to be REMOVED not added. (Yes I am sure I selected the right option on the page - It also confirms it at the bottom) and I know the number was right (Cos they txt me). So what is the problem VF? Your website sucks or your CSR's don't understand the difference between ADD and REMOVE? Probably both.

Its ironic that 6 months or so ago, before VF started their account revamp, and then began "improving" their website, that everything more or less worked! Way back then in the good 'ol days, I could access my My VF page, and check voice minutes and mobile data usage. Now I can't. And the txt sytem seems flaky, too. As mentioned above, as often as not I get a "Service unavailable" reply. Or how about this garnered on Sat 2nd Feb:

Balance owing according to txt: $41.63      Balance owing according to My VF webpage: $123.66    Go figure!

So come on, VF, lets have the ability to read voice minutes and data usage restored to the website, please. I've sent an email requesting this on 26 Jan, and have yet to receive any reply.

Recently I had to load Vodafone's bank account details into my accounting system as our normal accounts payable processes don't allow for us to make payments using the normal bill payment options in Internet Banking. I searched high and low on Vodafone's web site for their bank account details and when I eventually found a relevant link it took me to a 404 error.

At that point I figured that my only option was to use the contact form, so I typed out a brief message stating what I required and as soon as I pressed submit the bank account details appeared without me having to submit my question to customer service.

So, in the end I got what I wanted but I was extremely annoyed that I had to type out a message which never actually got sent to a human in order to find a simple piece of information which should have been readily accessible, or at least printed on their invoices!

But wait.........I've cracked the Secret Code, and found the Hidden Portal! Move over, Harry Potter!

On the My VF Manage Your Account page - right at the bottom is this:

Search for Mobile Users

Enter mobile number to search for in box provided....(etc)

Enter connection:             Search

Now what this REALLY means is:

Enter your mobile or vodem number here, and press search.
This will take you to pages where you can view your call and data usage.

So WHY didn't VF use a nice clear descriptive instruction here? Had they done so, they'd have spared themselves my nagging!

Sigh!

Is anything going smoothly at Vodaphone these days?    Seems they have a huge number of 'snakes' to kill right now..

I can't understand how a technology company the size of vodafone can have issues with a website.

I'm not a Telecom customer bashing vodafone here either, I have two vodafone accounts and have been with vodafone for years but you have to wonder about their direction given the issues with the website and their customer service which seems average at best.
