Hello

Has any one else experienced random calls from a VFX line?  For the last two days my we have received a call from our home number, on my partners mobile, while we have been sitting at home, next to the home phone.

There are no call forwards etc configured within the VFX portal, and if you answer the call it is completely silent...

The positive is WxC have confirmed I havent called any mobile numbers from my home number, and therefore havent been charged for any of the calls etc.

Cheers

Do you have any speed dials configured?  Perhaps a software bug is causing random speed dials.

If WorldxChange is saying that the calls didn't come from your home phone, then I'd say that someone is spoofing the number somewhere else.

It can be very easy to spoof CLIs.  In fact, there is a whole hacker subculture that does just that with some extremely nasty consequences.

Google "SWATTING".

We really need to start to not trust CLI information.  It lies.  Often.

If you are really interested in tracking down where the call is coming from, I would start with the mobile carrier and try to track the call backwards.
